Ever since I started ‘working on myself’ years ago, I realized just how unregulated I tend to be on a daily basis. My emotions? They can be all over the map, and there’s a lot of things that can overstimulate me in a hot minute.
As such, I’ve had to really come to terms with understanding myself and what I need to feel calm, content and grounded. In a ‘normal’ day, this is easy to manage- you know, when my schedule and environment are predictable.
But when there’s any uncertainty, like right now when I’m traveling, I have to resort to non-negotiables in my day to keep me regulated.
