No matter what stage of life you might find yourself in, there's something here for you.
So over the last 16 years I've attended university, worked as a nurse, and then as a coach- all while simultaneously learning how to heal myself. I've made mistakes, done hard things, scary things, and lots of shameful things- and overcoming it all has helped me finally become the person (and writer) that I have always wanted to be.
But... i suppose in a way, life had other plans for me.
In high school I was encouraged to enrol into nursing, a career that would ultimately lead me to learning so much more- about life, healing and the world.
Growing up I dabbled in writing poems (I had a few published), short stories, and family newsletters. I even wrote a 'choose your own ending' mini-novel for my grade nine science project (which I got an A+ on, by the way). In fact, I fondly remember using my grandparent's typewriter for a lot of these projects before I was given the gift of my first laptop at 17.
When I was a young girl, I dreamed of being two things: a marine biologist... and a writer. Now I'll admit that the marine biologist dream was fueled by an overly-embarrassing obsession with dolphins that logically made zero sense given I lived in the middle of Alberta, no where near water. But the dream of being a writer? That one was truly always meant to be.
needless to say, the words in everything I share here are through the lens of my own personal lived experience- that is what my writing and these pages are built upon.
Whether you're reading about surviving life in your 30's, traveling bougie on a budget, or even one of my fictional stories- it is all based on real life, raw experiences, and true, unfiltered opinions.
The truth is that I'm not here to please anyone- I'm here to trigger you in all the best ways, so that you finally stop settling and demand more for your life.
So if that's your jam... welcome babe. I think you're gonna like it here.
